| It pays to join the PTA ... literally ...
It's time for this year's PTA registration! The cost is the same ($5 per member) and all monies benefit the students directly. A huge thanks to all those who joined last year! In 2008-2009, we had 479 PTA members, 100 of those were Ivy Creek employees (thanks to Mrs. Frey for your 100% staff participation). Based on these numbers, only 39 % of our parents joined. I'm absolutely certain that we can do much better than that this year. We are offering a ton of benefits to our PTA members to encourage participation! Just for joining, our first 500 members receive the Ivy Creek PTA Welcome Packet which includes a FREE Ivy Creek Magnetic Color Calendar, $10 in coupons for Ivy Creek events, and a $5 gift card to Stars and Strikes. I've heard that our new members are already RAVING about the at-a-glance magnetic school calendar! No more turning pages to see the next month or putting holes in your walls to hang your calendar! In addition, we will be offering our members discounts to ALL PTA EVENTS such as Spring Fling, Bingo Night, Variety Show, etc. Don't forget, you will also save $3 on each yearbook , just as we have done it the past. OK, so if you're not yet convinced to join the PTA, then check out the below websites. They are additional discounts that the Gwinnett Council, Georgia PTA, and National PTA offer to PTA members. There are almost 50 of them!!!!!! |

I promise you, your membership will pay for itself time and time again. In fact, you will literally LOSE MONEY if you don't join the PTA. PTA enrollment is a reflection of how active our parents are at Ivy Creek. I'm certain that more than 39% of our parents are involved at Ivy Creek. I see all of you in the halls, the classrooms, the media center, the book fairs, etc. So when you see me or any PTA Board Member at Curriculum Night, School Events, etc ... sign up for the PTA. Say YES, I want to be involved with my child at Ivy Creek Elementary School and I don't want to lose money! |
