Recyling of Newspapers
Here's how it works. Anyone from the community can use the red/green recycling bin located at the exit of the car rider parking lot. Ivy Creek ES earns money per pound of paper that is recycled. The information on the outside of the dumpster is outdated. Unlike other public recycling bins, you can not only recycle newspapers, but also telephone books, magazines, catalogs, junk mail, flattened pasteboard (i.e.: cereal boxes) and flattened cardboard.
We can reclaim newspaper, junk mail, or anything that does not have "glue" (sticky notes are okay, but envelopes are not).
They prefer no construction paper or paper with wax crayon because those "gum up" the recycling machines.

| By collecting the above mentioned papers, you support our school AND do something good for the environment. Doesn't that sound good? |
